Michael A. Bellos PhD is an accomplished optical engineer and physicist specializing in laser technology and microscopy. Currently Co-Founder and Partner at Arcsecond Labs LLC, he spent the past decade at biotech startups including Quantum-Si, where he led the Optical Devices Team in developing next-generation protein sequencing technology, established manufacturing lines in Asia and the US, and improved system reliability tenfold—contributions that helped drive the company's successful 2021 IPO. His earlier work at Coherent Inc. produced the first commercially available high-power carbon monoxide laser operating at 5 microns. His career also includes optical engineering roles at Isoplexis, Resolve Biosciences, and Detect.

Michael holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Connecticut and completed postdoctoral research at Yale University in experimental Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics. Faisal R. Ahmad PhD is an accomplished physicist and technology leader with over two decades of experience in semiconductor devices, optoelectronics, and laser systems. Currently Co-Founder and Partner at Arcsecond Labs LLC, he leads a team in designing advanced optical systems including laser construction, custom microscopes, and optical metrology tools. As founding member of the Optical Devices Team at Quantum-Si, he designed and built prototypes of the pulsed laser system for their protein sequencing platform, established production lines in Asia and the US, and developed manufacturing instruments including a novel saturable absorber quality control apparatus—work that was cornerstone to the company's successful 2021 IPO. His career also includes leadership roles at Resolve Biosciences, Detect, and General Electric Company.

Faisal holds a PhD in Physics from Cornell University, where he researched ultrashort pulse generation from semiconductor mode-locked lasers, and a BSc in Theoretical Physics from Imperial College London. His combination of theoretical understanding and practical implementation has established him as a respected leader in optical and laser technologies. He is fluent in English, Urdu, and German.
